Nous recherchons un(e) infirmier(ère) autorisé(e) d’expérience pour occuper un rôle de Chef(fe) infirmier(ère) (Nurse Lead) au Centre de surveillance de l’immigration à Laval (ASFC).

Ce poste combine soins infirmiers directs, supervision clinique et leadership opérationnel dans un environnement fédéral structuré, axé sur la sécurité, la qualité et l’éthique des soins.

À PROPOS DU RÔLE

Le ou la Nurse Lead agit comme référence clinique sur place et assure la coordination et la continuité des services infirmiers offerts 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7. Le rôle exige une pratique autonome, un leadership solide et une collaboration étroite avec des équipes multidisciplinaires.

RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Fournir des soins infirmiers directs, incluant évaluations, triage, traitements et suivis de la santé physique et mentale
  • Répondre aux situations urgentes et coordonner les services d’urgence externes au besoin
  • Administrer les médicaments conformément aux ordonnances médicales et aux normes en vigueur
  • Effectuer les évaluations de santé à l’admission et les suivis cliniques continus
  • Assurer une documentation clinique complète, exacte et confidentielle
  • Agir comme chef(fe) clinique des services infirmiers sur le site
  • Superviser, encadrer et soutenir le personnel infirmier
  • Contribuer au recrutement, à l’accueil, à la formation et à la planification des effectifs
  • Développer et appliquer des protocoles cliniques conformes aux exigences de l’ASFC
  • Assurer la conformité légale, réglementaire et en prévention et contrôle des infections
  • Collaborer avec l’ASFC, les fournisseurs externes et les partenaires communautaires
  • Produire des rapports cliniques et escalader toute situation critique

QUALIFICATIONS OBLIGATOIRES

  • Permis valide d’infirmier(ère) autorisé(e) au Québec, délivré par l’OIIQ
  • Minimum de trois (3) années d’expérience au cours des cinq (5) dernières années à titre d’infirmier(ère) autorisé(e), incluant l’ensemble des tâches suivantes:
  • Minimum de deux (2) années d’expérience en leadership ou en supervision clinique
  • Certification valide en RCR/DEA (ou engagement à l’obtenir avant l’entrée en fonction)
  • Solides connaissances en prévention des infections, santé mentale et soins tenant compte des traumatismes
  • Expérience en milieu correctionnel, d’urgence, communautaire ou institutionnel considérée comme un atout important
  • Le poste exige le bilinguisme (français et anglais).

  • Poste soutenant des opérations de soins de santé 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7
  • Horaire pouvant inclure des périodes de disponibilité selon les besoins opérationnels
  • Du lundi au vendredi, de 8 h à 16 h, avec une certaine flexibilité requise pour répondre aux situations urgentes en soirée ou les fins de semaine.
  • Admissibilité requise à une vérification de sécurité pour les secteurs vulnérables et à une cote de fiabilité SPAC

ENGLISH VERSION

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Nurse Lead to support healthcare services at the Laval Immigration Holding Centre (CBSA).

This role combines direct patient care, nursing supervision, and operational leadership in a structured federal environment focused on safety, quality, and ethical care.

About the role

The Nurse Lead serves as the on-site clinical authority and ensures continuity and quality of nursing services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The role requires autonomous practice, strong leadership, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide direct nursing care, including assessments, triage, treatment, and monitoring of physical and mental health needs
  • Respond to urgent and emergency medical situations and coordinate external emergency services as required
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards
  • Conduct intake health screenings and ongoing clinical assessments
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential clinical documentation
  • Act as the clinical lead for nursing services on site
  • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and staffing coverage
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols aligned with CBSA requirements
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, professional standards, and infection prevention and control protocols
  • Collaborate with CBSA personnel, external healthcare providers, and community services
  • Provide clinical reporting and escalate critical incidents

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Registered Nurse license in Quebec (OIIQ)
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of RN experience within the last five (5) years, including:
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Valid CPR/AED certification or commitment to obtain prior to start
  • Strong knowledge of infection prevention, mental health, and trauma-informed care
  • Experience in correctional, emergency, community, or institutional healthcare settings is a strong asset
  • Must be fluently bilingual (French & English)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Role supports 24/7 healthcare operations
  • Schedule may include on-site leadership hours and on-call availability
  • Monday to Friday 0800-1600 with some flexibility to respond on evenings and weekends in case of urgent matters
  • Eligibility for a Vulnerable Sector Check and PSPC Reliability Security Clearance is required
