Compensation Range: $26.67 up to $34.52 hourly

Primary Responsibilities:

This role incorporates high levels of knowledge and greater latitude of responsibility as they oversee and supervise their department.

  • Lead and supervise a team of welders and fabricators on a specific production line.
  • Assign daily tasks based on production schedules and project priorities.
  • Perform MIC, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core Welding as required.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Ensure all welds meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Inspect finished welds for accuracy, penetration, and structural integrity.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members.
  • Enforce workplace safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers and quality control teams.
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper tool usage.
  • Monitor materials inventory and request supplies as needed.
  • Troubleshoot fabrication or welding issues on-site.

Educational Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset

Required Skills, Expertise & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (Technical certification preferred)
  • 5+ years of professional welding experience.
  • 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG and Stick welding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding codes.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Dedicated, reliable, and able to work as a team player

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS/CWB certification(e.g., Certified Welder)
  • Experience in structural steep or heavy equipment fabrication.
  • Forklift and overhead crane operation certification.

Equipment/ Tools/ Technology Used:

  • Able to use grinders, jib cranes, and related lifting attachments, and handheld equipment that may be necessary for the job
  • Follow the written instructions when completing a work order for barcode production
