About the role

Description

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our global organization at a pivotal moment of transformation. Based in Toronto, this role will act as a partner to our Canadian management team, with a primary focus on supporting, engaging and optimising the Canadian workforce whilst also executive and driving global strategic people initiatives.

As the organization continues to evolve, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape and influence culture, drive optimal organizational design and embed people strategies that align with business objectives. You will play a key role in leading change initiatives, enhancing employee experience and building a high-performing, future-ready workforce.

Working closely with leadership, the HR Business Partner will provide expert guidance and support across talent management, workforce planning and employee relations. This is a highly visible role with significant impact, ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about driving meaningful transformation.

Key Responsibilities

You will have a wide and varied role, where you will be able to immediately add value into a growing business.

Your main responsibilities will include;

  • Provide a high level of HR advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders.

  • Build and foster professional, collaborative relationships with regional and global leaders, and the wider HR team, advising on local industry trends and developments

  • Proactively initiate and deliver on effective best practice HR projects and strategies.

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Canadian legislative updates, updating & educating the business and stakeholders on changes.

  • Work effectively with management to coordinate and resolve complex employee relations issues, negotiating strategically and balancing employee well-being alongside business needs.

  • Work collaboratively with the global HR and Talent functions to develop effective solutions to people related issues, ensuring that strategies and processes are optimised.

  • Lead on local wellbeing, engagement, and organisational design initiatives.

  • Overall accountability for the development and implementation of key people strategies to sustain a dynamic, high-performance culture in collaboration with the wider HR leadership team

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

We know you will have a broad skillset, but to thrive in this role we think you will need;

  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a business partner, Advisor or generalist role.

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment laws, HR policies, and compliance requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. CHRP, CHRL, or CHRE designation preferred.

  • Demonstrable experience with employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management and organizational development.

  • Effective communication, collaboration and relationship management skills, with experience partnering with and influencing senior leadership, able to present balanced ideas and approaches to the wider business.

  • Experience working in rapid change environments.

In line with the amended Employment Standards Act 2000, the salary range for this role is up to $125K, dependent on assessment of skills during the interview process.
