About the role

The HR Coordinator supports employee lifecycle and engagement initiatives across assigned employee groups. This role leads onboarding activities for new employees, provides responsive support through shared HR inbox inquiries, and coordinates recurring communications and programs such as scholarships and recognition. The HR Coordinator will participate in supporting the development, maintenance and implementation of retention and wellbeing initiatives including onboarding, recognition, wellness, employee listening and belonging. In addition, the HR Coordinator completes key administrative and financial processes such as reporting, timesheets and reimbursements.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR and Employee Experience practices and procedures and seek opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the business.

  • Support various Corporate HR and Talent projects and initiatives as assigned.

  • Coordinate and execute onboarding, recognition and service programs, wellness and mental health initiatives, engagement surveys and other HR activities as assigned.

  • Manage the administration of the DEI Certificate Program and the Corporate recognition program,

  • Act as a point of contact for Corporate HR and Employee Experience related matters, responding to queries in a timely and appropriate manner and escalating issues to management as required.

  • Create and distribute HR and employee experience related communications in partnership with Corporate Communications Team.

  • Complete key administrative and financial processes such as reporting, timesheets and reimbursements, invoice coding, and purchase order set-up and receipts.

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent in HR, business, industrial relations, or related field.

  • 2 years of work experience with Minimum of 1 year in Human Resources is preferred.

  • Experience managing small to medium projects and processes with limited oversight from supervisor.

  • Customer focused with superior communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings with internal and external parties, in-person or virtually.

  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, anticipating shifts in priorities.

  • Strong Microsoft office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Experience with HCM systems considered an asset.

  • Fluency in English is a requirement of this role. Ability to speak French and/or other languages is considered an asset.

  • HR certification (e.g., CPHR, SHRP, PHR, SPHR) would be an asset
