The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for all aspects of the housekeeping department to oversee the management of the housekeeping and laundry departments, including cleanliness of guest rooms, cottages, public, and heart of house areas. The successful candidate will be a coach and leader for the housekeeping and laundry team, providing direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall management and administration of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments. This role ensures that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are impeccably clean and maintained to the highest standards. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will lead, train, and motivate a dedicated team, manage budgets, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

-Oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. -Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction. -Hire, train, and manage a team of housekeeping and laundry staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. -Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities to ensure compliance with quality and cleanliness standards. -Manage departmental budgets, including labor costs, supplies, and equipment, and ensure cost-effective operations. -Maintain accurate inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, and ensure timely procurement and replenishment. -Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest service and address any housekeeping-related issues promptly. -Implement and maintain health and safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment. -Address guest concerns and complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfactory resolutions. -Prepare and present regular reports on departmental performance, including occupancy rates, budget adherence, and guest feedback.

Qualifications:

-Proven experience as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper or in a similar leadership role within a full-service resort or hotel. -Strong knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations, procedures, and best practices. -Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. -Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. -Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. -Proficient in budgeting, inventory management, and cost control -Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance. -Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. -Proficient in using housekeeping management software and MS Office Suite. -Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
