Summary statement

The Visual Inspection Technician is responsible for examining components, materials, or finished products to ensure they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role involves performing detailed visual inspections, identifying defects or non‑conformities, documenting findings, and collaborating with production and quality teams to support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of parts, assemblies, or products according to established procedures and specifications

• Identify defects such as cracks, scratches, contamination, discoloration, or dimensional irregularities

• Follows safety procedures as set out in the Health and Safety policy and internal trainings.

• Any other assigned duties

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in visual inspection, quality control, or manufacturing preferred
• Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, or inspection criteria
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills (data entry, quality systems)
• Successful completion of the Controlled Goods Security Assessment

Working Conditions

• Frequent use of a microscope.
• Frequent exposure to controlled substances.
• Execution of repetitive tasks, often involving small parts.
• This position requires the ability to work on Evening Shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Type of Supervision Received

Task assignment is through the Production Supervisor or shift lead. Yearly performance reviews and setting of annual performance goals are together with the Filter Processing Manager.
