About the Job
Interior Health Regional and Tertiary Hospitals provide a range of Ambulatory Care/Medical Imaging/Rapid Access services and depending on the assigned clinical area within the Ambulatory Care/Medical Imaging/Rapid Access Unit the Registered Nurse may be required to be competent in multiple clinical settings.
The Registered Nurse:

Provides nursing care to patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
-
Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers

Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
-
Maintains and advances own clinical competence
-
Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned
-
Reviews pertinent data obtained (a) through investigative procedures and (b) by other members of the health care team (including medical history, progress notes, consultation reports, lab reports, etc.) and incorporates findings into the plan of care.
This is a Term Specific Full Time opportunity until May 28, 2027.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00hours.

- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned area as required by the position:
o Medical Imaging - completion of recognized post-basic education in critical care nursing or emergency nursing, plus two years recent related experience in interventional diagnostic imaging (such as angiographic, cardiac catheterization) or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
