The Opportunity:
We’re looking to fill an opening for a Director, Product Marketing – Asset Management to join our Marketing team for 6 months.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Product Marketing, the Director, Product Marketing – Asset Management will lead for the development and execution of compelling go-to-market strategies for products, services and platforms in collaboration with your team. As the senior marketing lead for the Asset Management business line, core responsibilities include customer acquisition, growth, engagement, annual marketing plans, budgets and product positioning in a highly competitive market.
The Director, Product Marketing- Asset Management, will manage a team of marketing professionals. This role will also be responsible for overseeing internal and external relationships across the Asset Management business line and is a key member of the business line leadership team.

What your day looks like:
Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Own the annual marketing plan, aligning initiatives with business line objectives and growth targets through a data-driven approach
- Play an active role in business strategy leadership, providing recommendations and client insights
- Act as the Marketing champion within the Asset Management Go To Market Committee (GTMC) to prioritize and manage all marketing initiatives and plans to enable successful completion of objectives
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Manage relationships with creative agencies, media partners, and external vendors
- Form and foster partnerships with CXM colleagues to leverage existing resources, align with best practices, find operational and financial efficiencies and maximize performance
Product and Brand
- Responsible for integrative marketing strategies, and messaging for our products and solutions that resonate with our target audiences to support client acquisition and retention.
- Develop creative and media briefs and manage creative agencies to ensure creative/agency work aligns to the overall vision of the brand and the organization, ensuring efficient use of budget and strong ROI
- Review market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to guide current and future marketing plans.
- Responsible for understanding the business drivers and challenges to conceive plans that are aligned and drive value.
- Engage and work closely with Content and External Communications team for owned and earned media opportunities including PR, social media and experiential
Budget Management, Analytics & Performance
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all marketing initiatives, showcasing the effectiveness of investments. Share performance updates on a regular basis with key stakeholders
- Leverage analytics and reporting to drive data-driven decisions and continuous improvement
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation and regular reporting and reconciliation
Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with industry regulations, communication policies, and brand standards
- Stay abreast of competitive landscape, investment industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting asset management
Requirements
Your experience and skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field is required (advanced degree preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, with at least 5 years in financial services, ideally in asset management
- Proven success in full-funnel marketing, digital and performance marketing, and lifecycle management.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience building and developing teams
- Deep understanding of Canadian investment landscape
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and influencing skills
- Excellent project management skills with ability to multi-task, set measurable objectives, and manage defined timelines
- Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Results-oriented with demonstrated analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary
This position is posted with an expected salary range of $115,000 - $135,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
