- Ensure mapping documentation aligns with enterprise data standards, governance frameworks, and architectural patterns
- Maintain clear, structured, and version-controlled mapping specifications for engineering teams
- Analyze and profile datasets to understand structures, relationships, data quality issues, and anomalies
- Validate that transformed and mapped data accurately reflects business processes and requirements
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and risks during data migration and integration initiatives
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, business analysts, product owners, and SMEs to gather and refine requirements
- Translate business definitions and requirements into technical data mapping documentation
- Facilitate workshops to resolve data ambiguities and align on business rules and mapping decisions
- Define validation rules and expected outputs to support testing and data transformation verification
- Perform data reconciliation between source and target systems to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Partner with data governance teams to improve data integrity, metadata management, and documentation standards
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical outputs to support business decision-making
- Present insights, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to self-service analytics initiatives and standardized reporting frameworks
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Strong experience in data mapping, data modeling, and data migration projects
- Proficiency in SQL (intermediate to advanced) for data querying and analysis
- Experience with data analysis, profiling techniques, and data validation methodologies
- Advanced skills in Excel or similar data analysis tools
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
- Strong understanding of relational databases, structured data, and data integration patterns
- Ability to interpret, document, and communicate complex data transformation logic clearly
- Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Azure, Databricks, and cloud-based data ecosystems
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and translate business needs into technical solutions
