We're looking for anEngineering Co-op Studentto join our Athabasca Oriented-Strand Board division, located inSlave Lake, Alberta. This state-of-the-art facility has the longest continuous press In North America, giving us the ability to produce a diverse range of innovative forest products such as Laminated Strand Lumber (LSL) and Engineered Wood Products (EWP) for customers around the world.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

Current enrollment in anEngineering****or Wood Science program.

Excellentcommunication skills. -Mechanical aptitudeand understanding of machines.
-
A passion for technology and innovation.
-
Strongorganizational,analytical, and report-writing skills.
-
Ability towork independentlyand use own resources tofind innovative solutionsto new problems.

In this role, you will:

Support the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program.
-
Generate data showing long-term trends.
-
Standardizedata collectionacross our SBB mills.
-
Be driven to findsolutionsand ways toimprove processes.
-
Be responsible for recommending methods to improve safety, quality, throughput, and uptime, and will provide support to the technical team.
-
Have opportunities to work with numerous departments across the mill.

You'll earn a competitive salary based on your skills and experience. The expected base salary range for this position is**$52,000 to $60,000**per year.

You'll be eligible for anorthern allowance on top of your base pay.
