Location: 70 Couchie Industrial Road, North Bay, Ontario
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time
Reporting To: Operations Supervisor
Start Date: Immediately
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:45am start; Saturdays as required
Compensation: $28.65 per hour

Summary:
The Fill-In Roll-Off DZ Driver will operate specialized trucks equipped to haul large, open-top containers (roll-off containers) used for waste and recyclable materials. Their duties include loading and unloading containers, transporting them to disposal or recycling facilities, and maintaining the vehicle, while adhering to safety and traffic regulations.
Responsibilities:
In the position of Fill-In Roll-Off DZ Driver, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Safely operate a Roll-Off truck.
- Possess strong knowledge of the North Bay area.
- Ensure customers are serviced according to their contractual requirements and schedules.
- Safely push and pull containers of various sizes, including unlocking and locking containers and enclosures/rooms.
- Ensure pick-up and delivery schedules are met as assigned.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Meet or exceed performance expectations through proven results.
- Provide coverage on an as-needed basis, including short-notice coverage for vacations and sick days.
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Valid DZ Driver’s Licence with a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR, and no preventable accidents within the past year.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Flexibility with scheduling, as start and end times may vary based on operational demands.
- Statutory holidays and weekends will be required depending on assignment and coverage needs.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attendance and performance record.
- Have excellent knowledge of and be familiar with the roads in North Bay and surrounding areas.
