Position: Dispatch/Customer Service Representative
Type: Full Time – Permanent
Location: 970 Brock Rd, Pickering

Level 1: Dispatcher I – Focus on Outsource
- Receive and dispatch orders in a timely manner.
- Prioritize messages and calls according to urgency and importance.
- Contact passengers to advise of delay or issues with transportation.
- Maintain a comprehensive record of communication.
- Enter data in computer software and maintain logs and records as requested.
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.
- Outsourcing of services in the most effective manner to meet daily requirements.
- Initiate action to improve performance.
- Work with other departments to ensure requests completed efficiently as required.
- Ensure regular attendance and punctuality.
Level 2: Dispatcher II - Focus on Fleet
- Displayed competence and understanding of the Dispatcher I position.
- Receive and dispatch orders in a timely manner.
- Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and messages.
- Prioritize messages and calls according to urgency and importance.
- Contact passengers to advise of delay or issues with transportation.
- Maintain a comprehensive record of communication.
- Enter data in computer software and maintain logs and records as requested.
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.
- Monitor the route and status of drivers/vehicles to coordinate and prioritize their schedule.
- Provide drivers information regarding orders, traffic obstacles and other requirements.
- Outsourcing of services in the most effective manner to meet daily requirements.
- Communicate with drivers to remind of proper vehicle conditions and defensive driving.
- Initiate action to improve performance.
- Work with other departments to ensure requests completed efficiently as required.
- Ensure regular attendance and punctuality.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of 1-3 years dispatching experience considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (comfortable attaching documents, working with multiple screens and multiple tabs)
- High ability to pleasantly and professionally converse with individuals on the phone, transfer information accurately into company software and maintain high accuracy.
- Flexible to work 40 hours a week between the hours of 9:30am to 6:00pm Monday-Friday
Rapid City Transportation o/b Autolux Ltd. has been specializing in medical transportation logistics services for over 20 years, supporting all of Ontario offering door-to-door concierge style transportation for individuals requiring special care - before, during and after their transfers.

PEOPLE Our team of friendly, well-trained and qualified professionals is fundamental to our success. Our office staff is trained to provide courteous and professional service to all customers.
Managers conduct regular quality control checks of all processes to ensure consistency of high quality services. Office staff is trained to use the in-house triple checking system for verification of booked orders thus eliminating mistakes.
FLEET We have a comprehensive fleet of safe, reliable vehicles to meet all your transportation needs. Our fleet includes full size sedans, minivans, wheelchair accessible vans and non-emergency patient stretcher vehicles.
All vehicles are less than five years old and MTO safety inspected every six months. All our vehicles, drivers and passengers are insured under our corporate commercial policy with up to $10 million dollars coverage.
DRIVERS Our drivers are professional, courteous and always ready to assist their passengers. With their CPR certification and defensive driving training, they provide door-to-door concierge style service, unparalleled in the industry. We monitor all driver abstracts to ensure that our drivers have clean driving records.
Our customer service team conducts regular quality checks with our customers on the drivers’ performance. Any driver who violates our concierge service regulations must immediately repeat our training course. Our software and logistics systems ensure our drivers arrive at appointments on time.
