Position Overview
Green Thumb Landscaping, based in Burlington ON is looking for a driven, motivated, and reliable individual to join our team as Lawn Care Tech and Maintenance Crew Member. This year-round position as we are full-service Maintenance and Snow. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors through all four seasons — providing professional lawn care services during the spring, a transition to assisting the maintenance and enhancement crews in the summer and fall and working with the snow and ice management crews in the winter season.
The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, outdoor work in all weather (rain, sun, snow and ice) and takes pride in delivering quality results and thrives in a fast pace, multi-faceted and very busy environment.
Who we are:
Our yard is located at Guelph Line and Dundas in Burlington. We are close to bus transportation, the 407 Dundas cut off is 1 km. from our yard and we are approximately 3 km. north of the QEW. What better way to leave a great impression than by maintaining our customers’ properties. A healthy, well-kept, beautiful property gives a great sense of pride to our customers and to you!
What You will do:
- Apply fertilizer and weed control product safely and effectively to residential and commercial lawns.
- Perform aeration, topdress and overseeding, and other lawncare services (spring and fall and as requested by customers)
- Identify lawn issues and recommend solutions for pest, weed, or nutrient concerns.
- Maintain and operate lawn care equipment including sprayers, spreaders, tank equipment, and blowers.
- Maintain excellent customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with Green Thumb Customers

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in lawn care or landscaping is preferred.
- Licensing for Pesticide application is a bonus but not required as we can have you certified
- Valid "G" driver’s license with a clean abstract required.
- Strong work ethic, communication skills and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to operate and maintain outdoor equipment safely
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and adapt to all conditions
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Stamina to perform physical labour outdoors for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions year-round.
