About the role
The North Lambton Community Health Centre is a community governed health centre serving identified priority populations in a defined catchment area. The Centre operates multiple sites in Ontario: Forest, Kettle & Stony Point, Watford, and Sarnia. Our interdisciplinary team provides primary health care, health promotion and community development services.
The North Lambton Community Health Centre is currently seeking applicants for the following position:
Health Promotion Program Officer (2)
Canada Summer Jobs Initiative
Forest / Sarnia - 35 hours per week – 8 Week Contract
This position is funded by the Government of Canada – Summer Jobs initiative.
The Health Promotion Assistant will provide a range of services to benefit the Health Promotion team, including administrative duties such as copying, creating brochures, presentations, and other marketing materials; and assisting the Health Promotion Team organize and execute special events such as supporting programming ie. Kids cooking classes, trail walking, and other Centre summer events. The Health Promotion Assistant may be required to complete duties for other teams when necessary.
Qualifications**:**

Registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.

Enrollment in a Public Health, Health Sciences, Recreation Therapy, etc., field of study at a recognized College or University.

Between the ages of 15 and 30 (inclusive) at the start of employment.

Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial and legislation and regulations.

Proficiency in the use of technology and excellence in various software applications required (e.g., Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Canva, movie maker, Facebook and Instagram posts).

Proficiency in the French language is considered an asset.
This is a temporary position with an hourly rate of $17.60 per hour plus 10% in lieu of benefits. The incumbent will primarily be required to work at our Forest site or Sarnia site. Start date is June 1, 2026.
