REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Be a
speaker of the nsyilxcenLanguage.

Possess a First Nations Language
teacher certificate for nsyilxcen Language or be eligible for this
certificate.

Have a
good understanding of Syilx culture.
-
Training
and experience working with grade-level students.
-
Experience
with adapting materials, resources, assessments and learning outcomes for
student needs.

Valid
BC Teaching certificate or eligible for Letter of Permission.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A
commitment to supporting a variety of learning needs.

Experience/training
in supporting the social-emotional learning needs of students.
-
Committed
to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students, staff and
parents.

Committed
to working as a member of a school team in support of students.

representative of the learners we serve.
The starting annual salary for this full-time teacher
position ranges from $64,664 - $112,806,
with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in
accordance with the collective agreement.
