We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team full-time, to deliver high-quality patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Proven experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

About West Nipissing General Hospital
The West Nipissing General Hospital is a smaller rural Hospital in Northern Ontario built in 1977. We are fully committed to the delivery of quality primary healthcare to the residents of West Nipissing and surrounding areas by providing clean, modern facilities and excellent support services. We currently have 98 beds (27 Medical/ Surgical, 2 Pediatric, 2 Enhanced Care Unit, 19 Complex Continuing Care and 48 Long-Term Care) plus a 24-hour Emergency Department. The WNGH also takes pride in our multicultural approach to patient care that is based on respect, compassion, caring and a safe healthy environment.
