Your Contribution:
In this role, you will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of civil engineering projects while working closely with a strong internal team of experienced technologists and engineers. This role is well suited to someone who may be primarily focused on design, someone who enjoys a mix of inspection and design, or someone who brings broader project delivery and consulting experience.
Your main responsibilities
- Prepare and develop civil engineering drawings, plans, and technical deliverables for municipal, land development, transportation, and infrastructure projects;
- Support the design and drafting of civil infrastructure systems in collaboration with engineers, EITs, and fellow technologists;
- Complete construction inspection, field review, site visits, and related documentation, as required;
- Assist with contract administration, quantity take-offs, cost estimating, and preparation of specifications and reports;
- Support project coordination and project management activities, including scheduling, communication, documentation, and coordination with clients, contractors, and stakeholders;
- Review drawings and design information for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements;
- Contribute to problem-solving during design and construction by identifying practical and effective solutions;
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary consulting team and contribute wherever your skills and experience add value;
- Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety culture in all aspects of the work.
Your Profile:
What makes you unique
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline;
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in consulting engineering or a related civil infrastructure environment;
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: design drafting, construction inspection, contract administration, project coordination, or project management;
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Hydrocad, PCSWM, and related civil design software would be considered an asset;
- Strong understanding of civil construction practices, drawings, specifications, and contract documents;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively in a team environment;
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation.
