The Opportunity: We currently have an opening for a Receiving Inspection Auditor in the Quality Department. The successful candidate will report to the Quality Supervisor.
In this position you will be responsible for performing measurement, visual, colour and functional inspection of incoming components as per customer specification. You will prepare and complete receiving inspection reports; prepare DMR (Defective Material Reports) for our Supplier related to any non-conforming products and communicate any rejections to the Supplier. You will initiate (CAR) Corrective Action Reports and follow up with the Supplier. We are currently hiring for the Night (11:00 pm - 7:00 am) shift. However, candidates must be flexible to work any/all shifts, and overtime as required.
Duties & Responsibilities

Perform measurement, visual, colour and functional inspection of incoming components as customer specification.

Pre-ship approval of paint and materials.

Prepare and complete Receiving inspection records.
-
Set-up filing for storage of receiving Quality Record so that it is easily available.
-
Prepare Defective Material Reports (DMR) for Supplier related nonconforming products and communicate to Supplier of rejections.

Initiate Corrective Action Reports (CAR) and follow up with Suppliers.
-
Trouble shoot if nonconforming component is found during assembly after receiving.

Follow up with suppliers if any required document/report is not received.

Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
-
Ability to read Engineering Drawings.

Must be familiar with all measurement equipment.

Understanding of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to job function.

Minimum Grade 12 education and a Post-Secondary Quality Assurance certificate from a recognized college.

Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally with suppliers.
-
Be able to work with minimum supervision.
-
Minimum two years of working experience in Quality Assurance.
-
Preference will be given to certified Quality Technician (ASQC).
Job Details: Wage:$27.86 per hour + night shift premium of $0.75/hour shift

**Work Location:**100 Washburn Drive, Kitchener, Ontario (on-site)
**Hours of Work:**11 pm – 7 am, Sunday night to Thursday Night
