Exciting Job Opportunity: Shipper/Receiver Wanted!
Are you ready for an exciting new challenge? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Shipper/Receiver to join our vibrant Operations team! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess exceptional organizational and forklift operation skills, we want to hear from you!
As a Shipper/Receiver, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading various products, operating forklifts in a safe and responsible manner, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and performing regular inspections and maintenance on equipment and serve walk in customers.
Primary Work Activities and Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload products using forklifts
- Use computer to prepare and print proper shipping documents.
- Perform inspections and maintenance on forklifts as per Company Policy
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and receipts, including keeping inventory up to date in digital inventory management program.
- Serve walk-in customer inquiries and transaction accurately and professionally
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Assist in maintaining an organized inventory system
- Contribute to a clean and safe work environment
Experience and Technical Skills Required:
- Previous experience or training in forklift operation, minimum 10k lbs.
- Up to date forklift license.
- Familiarity with quality and safety procedures
- Work hours are 8-4:30 with occasional overtime during peak season
- Ability to work with metric and imperial measurements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members
- Ability to work in a face paced environment
