Responsibilities:
- Manage, guide, and teach Small Capital Projects team
- Assist with Rebrand projects, FRs, and larger projects as required
- Coordinate rebuilds of full renovations (FRs)
- Requesting NOP for abatement
- Asbestos project scheduling
- Organize daily tasks and projects for all Small Capital Projects Associates
- Order and inspect work of contractors
- Inventory control, ordering and dispersing supplies as needed
- Conduct investigations on buildings and suites, identifying issues that must be addressed (i.e. repairs, etc.)
- Work as a team and communicate with RD, ACs and other Associates to ensure goals are met
- Work in compliance with Health and Safety regulations
- Complete all required administration for the position on a tablet
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience or supervision of a construction team
- Extensive maintenance service experience preferred
- Construction background required with solid experience in drywall, carpentry, flooring, cabinetry, plumbing, and renovations
Technical Requirements:
- Estimating, project scheduling, and ensuring budgets and timelines are met
- Working knowledge of English language both verbal and written
- Familiarity with computer tablets is an asset
Non-Technical Requirements:
- Hands-on leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple Associates and teams
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and exceptional customer service
- Accountable decision-maker with excellent problem-solving skills and follow-through
- Highly organized with strong planning, prioritization, and time-management abilities
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently or collaboratively
- Quick learner who is adaptable, flexible, and demonstrates initiative and commitment to excellence
- Positive, enthusiastic, and assertive professional demeanor
- Possesses all required tools listed
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a truck and trailer
- Willing and able to travel within Alberta as required
- Physically capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs for up to eight hours, and maneuvering up to 90 kg using proper equipment
