About the role

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Temporary Generalist Teacher for Cleardale Colony School. This position is to commence on August 27, 2026 and continue until November 30, 2026, with a possibiblity of an extension. The initial teaching assignment will include teaching in a multi grade level classroom setting.

Cleardale Colony Hutterite School serves students in grades one thru nine. The school is located in Cleardale , a small farming community in the Peace River Country close to the banks of the Peace River. The community is approximately 200 km from Grande Prairie and 80 km from Fort St. John, British Columbia.

Qualifications

  • Experience and/or knowledge of blended learning teaching pedagogy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success.
  • Proven ability to differentiate lessons and assessment to support students’ achievement.

Skills

  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff and parent.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive, safe and caring learning environment.
  • An understanding of rural community and culture.

Requirements

  • Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
  • Provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check, dated within six (6) months of your application.

Annual Salary Range: $ 66,520 to $ 112,451 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Peace River School Division).
