The Catholic Independent Schools of the Diocese of Nelson (CISND), hosts six elementary schools, and one high school. St. Michael's Catholic School (Trail, BC) invites applications at this time for: School Custodian 2025-2026 school year At St. Michael's Catholic School , the goal of our staff is to provide our students the ultimate learning experience in a nurturing and safe environment. The custodian is responsible for the safety and cleanliness odf the school building, play structures, parking lot sidewalks, gardens, school vehicles, and boulevards of the premises. These duties are to be maintained satisfactorily to teh standard set forth by the SCHOOL Council. Such standards will be provided by the schoo Principal.
This position is FULL-TIME postion beginning immediately. A list of detailed job duties will be provided by the Principal.
Our Successful Candidate Will
- preferably have some custodial experience
- work well with minimum supervision
- ensure that appropriate equipment and materials are readily available
- maintain a good working relationship with administrators, teachers and fellow employees
- have a courteous manner when dealing with students, staff, families and the general public using the school facilities
- report on emergency repairs done by others
CUSTODIAL - Summary Of Daily Duties
- generalized cleaning of school facility and grounds as necessary
- maintain school's fleet of vehicles (if applicable), securing inspections as required
- general repair and maintenance of school facilities
- arrange professional repairs/upgrades as required (electricians, plumbers, etc.)
- shedule season grounds maintenance as required (sprinkler blow outs, fall leaf collection, etc.)
- complete other duties as assigned
