About the role
The Warehouse Technician will pick, ship, receive, and maintain inventory to provide accurate and timely service to internal and external customers as well as completing labourer and yard duties to ensure both the branch and yard are organized. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn, enjoys physical work and has a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.
Base Hourly Wage: $33.89. Additional premiums may be available.
Location: Edmonton, AB
Shift Rotation: Monday to Friday
What You'll Do
- Shipping and receiving
- Picking parts orders
- Warehouse and yard maintenance
- Forklift operation and maintenance
- Daily cycle counting and warehouse inventory
- Dealing with customers and suppliers
What You Bring
- Have a strong awareness/attitude towards workplace health and safety
- Previous industry related work experience (shipping, receiving, order picking and basic logistics)
- WHMIS, Fall Arrest, Fire Extinguisher, TDG, First Aid, and Hoisting and Rigging training an asset
- Equipment experience (Forklift, Power Jack, Reach Truck, Man Lift)
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
- Valid Fall Arrest certification
- Working knowledge of computers
- Valid Class 5 drivers’ license
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime and some weekends
