What would my role be?
Under the general direction of the Manager, Compensation and Benefits, you will:
-
Act as the primary Human Resources point of contact for all Bruyère Health employees and for employees for whom Bruyère Health is paymaster, from the time of hire to termination/retirement.
-
Be one of three positions involved with the administration of all fundamental aspects of documentation, compensation, and benefits.
-
Handle the entry and maintenance of related data in the HRIS/Payroll software application.
-
Provide employees with relevant information on working conditions and collect information to document employee files.
-
Provide employees and third parties (group insurance, pension, and E.I.) with all required information to ensure employees' enrollment, continued participation, and termination of benefits.
How do I qualify?
Required:
-
Three (3) years Community college diploma in Human Resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
-
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a Human Resources/Payroll/Benefit Administration Department.
-
Experience in dealing with the public, employees, and managers.
-
Fluent in French and English (Candidates who do not meet this language requirement are eligible to apply for this position and may be considered if there are no other suitable applicants who meet this requirement.)
Preferred:
-
Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
-
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and/or Canadian Payroll Association Certification (CPAC).
-
Experience with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Knowledge and understanding of recruitment and selection principles, practices, and procedures, collective agreements, applicable employment, and related legislation.

Advanced computer skills – proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Groupwise, HOOPP ESE, Employment Insurance WEB-ROE.
