  • Review existing accounting policies, procedures, and position memos to ensure a thorough understanding of current US GAAP compliance standards and internal controls
  • Assist with monthly close tasks, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • First 90 days:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify pain points in the close cycle and propose targeted improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and automation
  • Begin exploring AI and automation tools that can streamline recurring accounting workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve data accuracy across the general ledger
  • Support audit requests and assist with documentation preparation for external auditors
  • Contribute to financial reporting improvements, ensuring disclosures are accurate, transparent, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • One-year outlook:
  • Own the end-to-end documentation of corporate accounting processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting across the general ledger and financial statements
  • Lead or co-lead automation and process improvement initiatives that measurably shorten the monthly and quarterly close cycle
  • Serve as a go-to subject matter expert for general ledger, procure-to-pay, and US GAAP compliance questions across the company
  • Build and refine accounting policies and procedures to keep pace with Docker's rapid growth and evolving business needs
  • Mentor junior and intermediate accounting staff, fostering growth in both technical accounting skills and cross-functional business acumen
