As an Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk, you’ll bring your accuracy, organization, and problem‑solving skills to daily financial operations that help keep our projects and teams moving forward.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be part of a collaborative accounting team that values initiative, precision, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing high volumes of vendor invoices using our electronic AP system, including uploading and validating digital invoice files.
- Managing the electronic approval workflow to ensure invoices are properly routed and verified.
- Reviewing invoices for accuracy, correct expense allocation, tax treatment, and compliance with company policies.
- Responding to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Maintaining and updating vendor records and related documentation.
- Providing backup support for employee expense processing and reimbursement.
- Maintaining accurate AP records with a focus on audit readiness and retention.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to digital workflows and AP automation.
- Performing daily transactions, month‑end procedures, and general administrative duties for the Accounting department.
- Completing other tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high‑quality work.
You’ll succeed if you have:
- A College Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a high‑volume environment; experience in a private‑sector professional services organization is an asset.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- The ability to work with accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
It’s a bonus if you also have:
- Experience with digital AP systems or workflow automation.
- Prior exposure to tax treatment, expense allocation, or audit preparation in an AP setting.
Salary Range: $53,000 – $55,000
Final compensation will depend on relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
