Role Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst supports management and executive decision-making throughad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and project-based workand acts as a thought partner to business leaders on key financial and strategic questions. The role also contributes tofinance process optimization, using technology and better data practices to improve how analysis and reporting are produced.
This is a modern finance role that requires strong analytical judgment, comfort working with data from multiple sources, and hands-on experience withPower Query and Power BI. The ideal candidate has strong technology acumen, is curious and practical, and is open to exploring innovative ideas to make insights sharper and processes more efficient.
Responsibilities
- Deliver timely, accuratefinancial analysis and insightto support leadership decisions
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and support special projects under tight timelines and evolving requirements
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and communicate findings clearly and concisely
- Build, enhance and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis and strategic decisions
- Develop and maintainPower BI dashboardsand other analytical reporting outputs
- LeveragePower Queryto run, maintain, and evolve data models, including preparing, cleansing, and transforming data from multiple source systems
- Contribute to improved data quality, consistency, and documentation across finance datasets and reporting outputs
- Supportfinance process improvementsthrough the application of technology and standardization to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability
- Reduce manual effort and rework by developing improved tools, automation, and reusable analytical frameworks
- Demonstrate strong curiosity and a proactive mindset toward adopting new tools, technologies, and ways of working.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Hands-on experience withPower Query and Power BI
- Advanced Excel skills and experienced working with large, multi-source datasets
- Ability to communicate complex analysis and insights clearly and effectively in both written and verbal form
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities and evolving requirements
- Demonstrated interest intechnology,automation, andcontinuous process improvementwithin a finance context.
Education & Experience
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- CPA designation considered an advantage
- 5–10 years of experience in corporate finance, professional services, or public accounting.
