About the role
A dedicated mixing engineer is required to support the finalization of a debut album for a London-based producer and musician. The project involves mixing eight concise tracks, ensuring each song achieves a professional, polished sound suitable for release. The role is fully remote, and immediate availability is preferred to meet the artist’s timeline for launching their first album.
Responsibilities
- Mix eight short tracks to industry standards, balancing clarity, depth, and cohesion across the album
- Collaborate with the artist to understand their creative vision and sonic preferences
- Apply appropriate processing, including EQ, compression, reverb, and effects, to enhance each track
- Ensure consistency in volume, tone, and dynamics throughout the album
- Prepare final mixes for mastering and digital distribution
- Communicate progress and incorporate feedback promptly to meet project deadlines
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience as a mixing engineer, preferably with album or EP projects
- Proficiency in industry-standard DAWs (such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live)
- Strong understanding of audio processing, mixing techniques, and genre-appropriate sound
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results remotely
- Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback
- Reliable internet connection for file transfers and remote collaboration
- Availability for immediate start and commitment to project completion within agreed timelines
