Reporting to the Director, Finance & Supply Chain, the Senior Financial Analyst – Strategic Priorities is responsible for providing comprehensive financial and business analysis, and decision support services for the organization. This role supports both operational and strategic priorities through accurate financial reporting, comprehensive analysis, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Duties:

  • Partner with the Director to assess, plan, and support strategic initiatives and priority programs, including financial and analytical support for project scoping, feasibility assessments, and resource planning.
  • Support the development of business cases for strategic and transformation initiatives, and coordinate financial tracking, reporting, dashboards, and analysis for strategic programs and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to post‑implementation reviews by assessing financial outcomes, benefits realization, and lessons learned.
  • Research, develop, document, and review technical accounting memos and interpretations for complex issues, providing clear recommendations to support decision‑making.
  • Analyze and audit financial and statistical data to support strategic and organizational priorities, ensuring data integrity while identifying trends, risks, and long‑term sustainability opportunities.
  • Support the development of complex financial models, scenario analyses, and forecasts for strategic initiatives
  • Align financial planning and management processes with strategic projects and service delivery, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Interpret and apply complex fiscal and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and budget adherence, and regularly analyze financial and statistical reports to identify and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analyses for stakeholders, ensure accurate documentation in accordance with legislative requirements, and safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of financial processes.
  • Provide expert guidance to staff on policies, procedures, and best practices; coordinate and monitor strategic initiatives by assessing risks and recommending solutions; and support leadership with staff training and development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of technical accounting standards.
  • Experience with data visualization and BI platforms.
  • Strong ability to interpret financial data, develop models, and deliver actionable strategic insights.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and SQL for data visualization and reporting.
  • Skilled in identifying trends, assessing risks, and recommending improvements.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Experience optimizing workflows, developing policies, and implementing system enhancements.
  • Ability to support or lead strategic initiatives, manage timelines, and monitor progress.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations, financial compliance, and clinical data standards.
  • Solid knowledge of fiscal, legislative, and regulatory frameworks applicable to the organization, with experience ensuring compliance and funding accountability.
  • English level A- in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading and writing is mandatory. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.

Salary Range:

52.82 to 61.23 per hour
