Part-time Equipment Coordinator
About the role
Training Day Responsibilities
-
Working with other equipment team members to organize and prepare player lockers with equipment before training and takedown afterwards
-
Deliver equipment to the field as needed for training and collects and puts away afterwards - managing inventory to ensure consistency and quality.
-
Launders all training kits for various teams in the building immediately following training sessions
-
Responsible for the organization and appearance of the equipment rooms, locker rooms, and common areas.
Match Day Responsibilities
-
Sets up the team dressing room before each match
-
Facilitates referee equipment requests as needed
-
Assist with accommodating visiting team equipment requests
-
Prepares and transports all the field equipment to the field before the warm-up.
-
Organizes and cleans the team bench and locker room areas, towels, equipment, water and the fourth official’s table.
-
Launder game and warm-up kit
-
Clean and return player footwear to training facility after home/road games
Apparel & Equipment Management
-
Works with other equipment staff to manage, organize and inventory warehouse for multiple teams.
-
Helps coordinate ordering process for toiletries, laundry, and locker room supplies.
-
Airport drop off and pickups as needed
Qualification Requirements
-
Unrestricted Drivers' License in BC, with a clear driver's abstract
Skills & Abilities
-
Ability to regularly handle and lift average-weight objects up to 25 kg / 55 lbs.
-
Ability to stand and/or walk for more than 4 hours per day.
-
Due to the cyclical nature of the Football industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the team or facility, including evenings and weekends
-
Ability to work well in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Must be a “team player” and flexible to constant changes.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, passionate.

A positive, motivated, growth mindset and fast learner.

The Club
Vancouver Whitecaps FC is the longest-running professional soccer club in Canada and the United States. Since its inaugural season in 1974, the club has united generations of loyal fans in British Columbia and beyond. With academies in eight out of ten provinces, a network of partner clubs, and hundreds of camps and clinics every year, Whitecaps FC provide a foundation for Canada’s soccer future.
