Assignment:

• Full-time 1.0 FTE probationary teaching position
• One supervision and 5 preps per week
• Course load to include: Grades 7-12 Mechanics and Fabrication
• The successful candidate will have the ability to tailor the program to suite their needs and the interests of the enrolled students
• Duties to commence August 26, 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Welder and/or Experience in Fabrication would be considered an asset

• Journeyman Mechanic and/or Experience in Mechanics would be considered an asset

• Experience teaching in Junior Senior High school would be considered an asset Ability to utilize varied instructional strategies and to differentiate in order to meet a wide range of individual needs

• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills

• Willingness to work in an active, team-oriented learning environment and be a positive team member

• Ability to teach in a flexible learning environment

• Passionate about teaching and ensuring belief in every student

• Ability to effectively integrate technology and an understanding of 21st Century Learning Skills

• Assessment literate An understanding of High School Redesign Principals, the Collaborative Response Model, and Differentiation would be considered an asset

• Strong planning and organizational skills

• Effective classroom management

• Commitment to ongoing professional growth
