As an Information Designer (Recruitment), you will work within the Recruiting and Selection Unit to plan, design and produce visual and multimedia content that supports sworn member recruitment initiatives. This position works closely with the Strategic Communications Section and other internal partners to deliver high-quality creative projects. It combines design, multimedia production and administrative support, contributing to the visual identity and storytelling of the Service's recruitment efforts. Primary duties:

  • Design and produce graphics, multimedia assets, and print materials.
  • Provide web-related support, including web design and content updates.
  • Organize photo and video shoots, manage studio and on-location sets, and capture, edit and retouch visual content.
  • Perform administrative duties, including preparing documents, supporting budget processes, overseeing large print orders and developing presentations.

Qualifications

  • A 2-year diploma in multimedia, design or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience in photography, video production or graphic design.
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud is required.
  • Social Media experience such as capturing, creating, and publishing short-form video and photo assets is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience using content management systems is also an asset.

Pre-employment Requirements

  • An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

Business Unit: Calgary Police Services

Union: CUPE Local 38

Position Type: 1 Temporary (up to 12 months)

Compensation: Pay Grade 8 $39.00 - 52.14 per hour

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week.

Days of work: This position works a 4-day work week.

Location: 5111 47 Street N.E.
