About the role
The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full- Time (1.0 f.t.e.) Complexity Team Educational Assistant at École Springfield Elementary School. This position will commence as soon as possible and will continue until June 26, 2026.
École Springfield Elementary School is located in the Town of Peace River and has an enrollment of approximately 360 students. Programming at the school consists of English, French Immersion and French Second Language programs for Grades K-4 students.
Qualifications
- Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent
- Experience and/or training working with students in a school setting
- Ability to work with children with varied ages, skills level, needs and abilities
- Experience assisting with structured, evidence-based literacy and numeracy instruction under teacher guidance
Skills
- Willingness to be part of a learning team, take direction and follow programs without direct supervision
- Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs
- Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needs
- Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers

- Provide an acceptable current Vulnerable Sector Check

This is a union position under the collective agreement between the
Rate Of Pay $22.59 to $28.02 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
