Rocky Mountain School District is searching for a continuing, full-time (1.0 FTE)VicePrincipal at McKim Middle School. This educational leadership role is effective August 1, 2026**.**

McKim School is located on the unceded and shared traditional territories of the Secwépemc and Ktunaxa Peoples in Kimberley, B.C. Our school community includes 45 dedicated staff members supporting 400 students Grades 4–7. McKim School is a collaborative learning community valuing strong communication, consistency in practice, and a positive school culture. The McKim team works intentionally to align expectations, strengthen communication, and ensure consistency across the school so that students experience a sense of belonging.

McKim staff are deeply committed to values development, fostering key attributes such as responsibility, respect, resilience, and kindness. Through this work, the team aims to support students in becoming confident, capable, and contributing members of our school community. The district welcomes applications from candidates with strong teaching and leadership experience, as well as familiarity with First Peoples' Principles of Learning, the BC Curriculum, and Learning Pathways. The district seeks an assessment literate, service-oriented leader who embraces student-centered leadership. A master's degree in administration, leadership, curriculum, or a related field should be completed or currently underway. The successful applicant must hold, or be eligible to hold, a BC Teaching Certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch.
