Würth Canada is hiring for a Divisional Director who is a strategic thinker and has a passion to develop, implement and manage the strategic sales and marketing plan, and customer value proposition for the ‘Auto’ division, and associated market segments. They will deliver the plans within each of the sales channels and customer contacts (Direct Sales, Telesales, E-Business, Pick up Shops), in collaboration with Marketing, Product Managers, Purchasing, and Sales Management.

As a Divisional Director, your responsibilities will include:

  • Define the divisional market strategy as the market expert, based on analysis, customer needs and business goals.
  • Capturing market information through customer visits, communication with Key Account team, and field activities to ensure close proximity to division realities.
  • Impact and influence sales leaders, key account team, and sales representatives across the country, as well as internal partners who execute on divisional strategies to drive growth.
  • Participate as needed in District / Regional sales meeting to build proximity with the sales team. In addition, complete ride along’s in field 2-3 times a month.
  • Participate in international meetings and training monthly.
  • Be the market expert by consistently deep diving into market analytics/intel and developing recommendations focused on driving growth.
  • Conduct regular customer needs analysis and then link analysis and customer needs with current company capabilities to develop solutions.
  • Stay abreast of market trends to ensure continuous development of the three-year vision and guarantee Wurth continues to be a driver in the industry.
  • Enhance and expand the product assortment in line with divisional strategy through collaboration with the product team.
  • Oversee the development and execution of product and applications training for the sales force.
  • Oversee the development and execution of divisional marketing materials supported across all channels.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship for direct report (1), as well as communicating key company messages and facilitating employee engagement.
  • Support communication to the division through organizing monthly divisional kickoffs.
  • Build engagement and feedback mechanisms to ensure clear and consistent communication to target audiences.
  • Build yearly /monthly go-to-market plans and oversee content development across all channels, including key focus markets, applications and solutions.
  • Rigorously review performance against set KPIs, followed by optimization solutions and recommendations.

What you bring to this role:

  • Degree / diploma in Business, Sales and/or Marketing.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in a similar capacity, developing and executing market and sales strategies within multiple channels.
  • Strong coaching and talent development skills with previous experience as a people leader.
  • Critical thinker who is highly analytical and adept at communicating insights derived from analyses.
  • Effective organizer and project manager who can balance project work with urgent day-to-day tasks.
  • Drive and energy with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and pressures in a fast-paced environment.
  • An aptitude and excitement for change management.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications and experience using CRM systems.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who can create authentic relationships with colleagues.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to drive change and deal effectively with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Proven ability to understand the business goals of the company and how to drive them forward in alignment with departmental role and responsibilities.
  • A leader with keen self-awareness who can role model and support a high-performance culture built on humanistic values.
  • Flexibility to travel (within Canada).
  • Bilingual French/English (verbal and written) an asset.
