What we seek:

OCH is currently seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to work with various stakeholders to identify business needs, analyze, define, document, and manage those requirements to recommend solutions and shape project outcomes. Under the guidance of the Manager, Enterprise Applications, the Business Analyst will create and maintain a robust, reliable, and secure applications system environment.

Business Analyst with OCH:

Providing quality and affordable solutions to our tenants and communities is a main objective of our organization. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in bringing this objective into reality by using your skills, knowledge, and experience. You will advise and collaborate with stakeholders and witness the effects of your work in the communities that we serve.

As a business Analyst, some of the things you will do include:

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of business processes as well as system functionality, interfaces, and data sources to conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate these risks
  • Build and maintain understanding of complex cross-functional processes and recommend technology investments
  • Liaise with the stakeholders to identify complex technical issues and troubleshoot system issues
  • Define, analyze, validate, and translate business requirements into systems application design
  • Gather and analyze data from multiple sources to develop enterprise reports
  • Review existing processes to discover efficiencies and improvements
  • Explore and evaluate options, recommend enhancements and solutions, and implement the solutions
  • Support and provide input to the development of project plans
  • Assist with prioritization and allocation of operational tickets
  • Support and mentor junior analyst colleagues
  • Build strong working relationships, both within and outside OCHC

What you bring:

Education & Experience:

A typical candidate will have the following qualifications and experience. Exceptional candidates with different qualifications will be considered at the discretion of the employer if demonstrated experience, knowledge, and ability warrant.

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Systems, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ related experience with enterprise level applications implementation and support in a corporate IT environment
  • Experience with one or more of the following enterprise reporting tools (e.g. SQL Server Reporting Services – SSRS), Oracle Reports, Power BI, Unit4 ERP Reporting, or dashboard development is desirable
  • Experience with workflow automation and using RPA solutions (Microsoft Power automate or others)
  • Experience mentoring colleagues on business analysis tools and techniques
  • Project management experience
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or Business Analyst (PMI-PBA), and Project Management (PMP) and ITIL Certifications are all desirable
  • Knowledge of best practices related to business systems life cycle management
  • Knowledge of system analysis, business process analysis, programing languages, and SQL in Oracle and MS SQL Server databases
  • Experience with ERP, asset management systems and mobile roll out is an asset
  • Experience with SharePoint site development and support
  • Experience in MS Power Platform components: Power Apps, Microsoft Automate, Virtual agent and AI builder is preferred
  • Knowledge of information technology risks and mitigation tools
  • Knowledge of technical documentation best practices
  • Knowledge of project management practices
  • Knowledge of finance, HR, and payroll processes systems is an asset
  • Knowledge of building management and tenant service delivery systems is an asset
  • Knowledge of standard corporate software such as Excel, Word, etc.

  • Fluency in French is an asset

Other requirements:

  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Check
  • Ability to work outside of and in excess to regular business hours, as required

Work conditions:

This is a full-time (35 hours / week) hybrid position with on-site attendance as required.
