Foothills Creamery has proudly produced dairy products and served Western Canada for over 50 years. We produce butter and ice cream, now offering over 80 different flavors of ice cream, sorbet, sherbet, and soft serve. We take pride in using locally sourced ingredients and continue to use the same old-fashioned, barrel churned techniques as we did in 1969. We are looking for a Full-time Ice Cream Scooper to join our Ice Cream team in Calgary, AB at the South Calgary Farmers' Market. If you're a hardworking individual who is looking for a fun customer service focused position selling ice cream, then apply to be a part of our team!

The Role

The Ice Cream Scooper position is a valuable part of the Ice Cream team, which is responsible for providing Calgarians with a Scoop of Joy and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are met. The scooper is responsible for opening and closing the booth, cash handling, providing excellent customer service, product knowledge and selling retail products. This position reports to the Marketing Manager and will be required to work a 5-hour shift Saturday & Sunday between the hours 12:00PM - 5:00PM MST, with additional coverage as needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Scooping and serving Ice Cream

• Selling retail products

• Educating customers on Foothills Creamery and our products

• Make milkshakes, floats, waffle cones and other sweet treats as directed

• Managing payments for both cash and electronic sales

• Providing exceptional customer service by living our motto - A Scoop of Joy!

What You’ll Need:

We require an applicant that has previous customer service experience and can work well with others. Applicants must be willing to work weekends. Additional requisites are as follows:

• Able to regularly lift up to 25kg

• Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred

• Previous food handling is preferred

• Math skills are essential

• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and with extended periods of standing

Schedule:

• 5-hour shift

• Day shift

• Saturday-Sunday (10 hours per week)
