The Technical Records Manager primary responsibility is to lead the team of Technical Records Analysts and Coordinators. This position reviews the aircraft technical records package for aircraft in DHC’s portfolio throughout the life cycle of aircraft ownership from: Manufactured, purchase, storage, maintenance and refurbishment to remarketing. This role requires close coordination with both internal functions and external service providers and customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure aircraft technical records for DHC’s Portfolio of aircraft are audited in detail, maintained and updated while the aircraft are in care, custody and control of DHC.
- Support the trading of aircraft during pre-buy records reviews at time of purchase and by preparing delivery records packages for the aircraft’s next customer.
- Induct aircraft technical records into DHC’s Asset Management systems. This includes auditing inbound records, identifying current maintenance requirements and filing records into a standard ICAO records standards.
- Manage external suppliers and contracted resources providing aircraft records audits, CAMO support or database services as required.
- Ensure accurate records of all checks, services and maintenance or repair-activities are created and maintained for future inspection by Aviation Authorities.
- Maintain all technical records including government requirements, industry requirements, and customer requests.
- Conduct work in accordance with this organization’s Maintenance and Records processes.
Education and Experience Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Technical Records Management.
- Knowledge of the certification, regulatory and jurisdictional requirements for Dash 8 aircraft, MRO and operators would be an asset.
- Understanding of applicable airworthiness requirements, quality systems, engineering and flight operations requirements and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft office products.
- Working knowledge of an aircraft maintenance control computer system.
