Position Overview

The Rakerman at Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. is responsible for smoothing and leveling freshly poured concrete surfaces using specialized hand tools. This role is key to achieving the quality finish required in concrete flatwork projects, ensuring durability and an aesthetically pleasing surface.

Key Responsibilities

• Use rakes and other hand tools to distribute and level wet concrete efficiently after pouring.
• Work closely with concrete finishers and labourers to ensure smooth and even surfaces.
• Assist in setting up forms and preparing concrete surfaces for finishing.
• Maintain clean tools and equipment and ensure proper handling to prevent damage.
• Observe safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment on site.
• Perform general labour duties as needed to support the concrete crew.

Requirements

• Previous experience in concrete labour or construction is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the crew.
