Term: 1 year Location: Calgary Work style: Hybrid
The Opportunity:

Build partnerships with leaders through deep knowledge and understanding of their business needs and concerns;
-
Act as HR prime representative during business development to capture new business; contribute to proposals for RFP responses;
-
Assist with the implementation of people and staffing plans to enable effective new project mobilizations when new contracts are won;
-
Participate in bargaining teams with new and existing Unions. Manage ongoing labour relations matters including direction and guidance to client groups on the interpretation and application of collective agreements and on managing employees in a unionized environment; facilitate dispute resolutions;
-
Assess and support the workforce planning process to implement talent and sourcing plans.

Collaborate with Centres of Excellence (COE) teams in ATCO to ensure total reward and talent programs are aligned with Frontec’s needs and requirements;
-
Enable successful change programs and initiatives by applying change management methodologies;
-
Provide consultation to managers and supervisors in addressing performance concerns through disciplinary and non-disciplinary actions as appropriate.

Address employee relations issues and concerns. Facilitate and/or lead workplace investigations as required.
Qualifications:
-
Proven collaborator with the ability to provide guidance and support to business clients, and develop strong interpersonal relationships
-
Agile and flexible work style; able to adapt to quickly changing priorities
-
5-7+ years of progressive experience in HR; preferably in a business partner role and/or employee relations,
-
Experience in supporting high volume, client facing workforces.
-
Post-secondary education at Bachelor degree level in related discipline;
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-
MUST be competent in dealing with a high volume of employee relation issues and subsequent investigations.

CPHR Designation as an asset.
