As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Project Manager for Wastewater Treatment Plant projects to play a key role in delivering an exciting portfolio of capital projects.
The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the delivery of capital projects at a wastewater treatment facility, including project coordination, technical review, and stakeholder engagement. This role ensures effective management of scope, schedule, cost, and risk while providing advisory support across design, procurement, and construction phases..
Responsibilities:
This work requires collaboration with the Project Manager, multidisciplinary project team, external consultants, contractors, and Operations & Maintenance staff and reports to our Project Manager. The core responsibilities include:
- Administer and coordinate consultant and professional services contracts in alignment with project objectives
- Develop and manage project schedules, scope, budget, and risk registers to support successful delivery
- Lead multidisciplinary coordination across engineering, operations, and external stakeholders
- Review and evaluate design submittals, change orders, and contract claims for accuracy and compliance
- Perform technical reviews of engineering designs, cost estimates, and risk assessments
- Manage stakeholder review processes, including consolidating feedback and tracking comment resolution
- Provide constructability reviews, technical advisory, and permitting/regulatory support
- Collaborate with Operations & Maintenance teams to validate requirements and support site investigations
- Support procurement and tendering processes, including scope development, bid evaluations, and vendor coordination
- Prepare project reports, Stage Gate documentation, and maintain records within document management systems (e.g., Orbit)
Requirements
Who we are looking for:
- Degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline
- 7+ years of experience in project management or project engineering within infrastructure, utilities, or industrial sectors
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary capital projects (design through construction)
- Familiarity with Stage Gate processes and project governance frameworks would be an asset
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary project delivery (design, construction, procurement)
- Experience with contract administration and consultant coordination
- Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, risks, and competing priorities
- Experience supporting regulatory approvals and permitting processes would be an asset
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Proficiency in project scheduling and document management systems
- Willingness to work onsite in a plant environment with regular field coordination

Compensation:
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including skillset, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. The salary range for this role is from $150,000 – $200,000 per year.
