Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Program and Care Managers, the Administrative Support V is an advanced administrative role supporting public health operations across the Well Child, School Public Health, Influenza, and Rapid Response programs. Working with minimal supervision, this position applies advanced administrative expertise, leadership, and sound judgment in a complex and fast paced environment. The Administrative Support V provides leadership to administrative staff, including assigning work and coordinating workflow, and acts as a resource for complex administrative processes. The role uses discretion and independent judgment to resolve escalated issues and support program operations where guidelines may not exist. Responsibilities also include ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards, contributing to process improvements, and supporting safe and effective service delivery through an understanding of clinical and non-clinical business processes. This position frequently serves as a key point of contact with internal and external stakeholders and manages multiple competing priorities and deadlines. This position works predominantly days Monday to Friday, however, evenings and weekend may be required due to a rapid response.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience, including experience equivalent to an Administrative Support IV or V classification. Experience supporting payroll, timekeeping, scheduling, onboarding, and recruitment-related administrative processes. Demonstrated proficiency with standard office technology and software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Sharepointe. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, leadership, and external stakeholders. Ability to lift and carry items up to 30 lbs and tolerate extended periods of sitting, standing, repetitive motion, and computer-based work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working within health care or a public sector. Experience using Epic Connect Care or other clinical information systems. Experience supporting large-scale, or complex programs. Demonstrated strengths in organization, accuracy, and attention to detail. Advanced education from a recognized institution, such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree. Experience following established policies, procedures, collective agreement provisions, and conflict resolution.
