**Job Title:**Dispatch Supervisor

**Location:**Calgary, AB

**Position Summary:**The Dispatch Supervisor leads daily dispatch operations to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate execution of all active projects. This role oversees dispatchers, manages project pacing and inventory coordination, maintains communication with carriers and customers, and ensures all reporting and planning functions are completed on time. The Dispatch Supervisor serves as the operational link between Dispatch, Management, Carriers, and Customers while supporting team development through coaching and performance oversight.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead 8:15 AM Dispatch Meeting: review active/upcoming projects, risks, and action plans.

  • Present concise project updates at 8:45 AM LML Meeting, including weather, road conditions, and inventory.

  • Complete and distribute customer trucking reports by 11:30 AM daily.

  • Review cross-shift notes and ensure team alignment on project dispatch methods and potential risks.

  • Provide proactive, solution-focused customer updates including:

    • Issue summary
    • Resolution plan
    • Current and planned roster size
    • Planned tonnage (12–24 hours)
  • Communicate directly with site operations

  • Answer questions and escalate issues to Management as needed.

  • Review and update the Roster Tracker daily.

  • Identify variances and implement action plans, redirect rosters as needed.

  • Adjust roster increases/decreases based on demand.

  • Delegate tasks and request support as needed.

  • Monitor site inventory levels and pull rates throughout the day.

  • Conduct midday check-ins to ensure trucks meet trip targets.

  • Provide real-time coaching and explain operational decisions.

  • Prepare upcoming projects (ROOK entry, Teams page creation, call sheets).

  • Confirm carrier start dates and communicate timing changes.

  • Complete at least one monthly skill assessment.

  • Review incident and quality reports for accuracy and coaching opportunities.

  • Conduct minimum one carrier audit per week and maintain tracking records.

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Previous Supervisory experience required.

  • 5+ years of dispatch or logistics experience (oilfield preferred).

  • Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts in a challenging 24/7 environment.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft suite of tools

  • Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented and highly organized.

Source provides its customers with a full end-to-end solution through its Wisconsin mines and processing facilities, its Domestic sand mine in Peace River, its unit train capable rail assets, its strategically located transload terminal network, and its "last-mile" logistics capabilities. Source's full-service approach allows customers to rely on its logistics capabilities to increase reliability of supply and to ensure the timely delivery of their growing frac sand requirements. In addition to its transload terminal network and in-basin storage capabilities, Source has also developed the Sahara, a proprietary wellsite mobile sand storage and handling system.

Source owns and operates a Northern White frac sand mine and related closed-loop wet processing plant located in east-central Barron County near the town of Sumner, Wisconsin, a Northern White frac sand mine and related closed-loop wet processing plant, which includes three washing circuits, dry processing plant and unit train capable loadout facility, located near Blair, Wisconsin , a dry processing plant, storage and loadout facility located in Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin, and a Northern White frac sand mine and related closed-loop wet processing plant, dry processing plant, and loadout facility, located near Blair, Wisconsin. Early in 2022, Source assumed all operations, distribution, and sale of domestic frac sand from a facility in Peace River, AB. This transaction provided Source with the opportunity to integrate Peace River frac sand into Source's leading distribution network resulting in low-cost production with significant logistical advantage and ensures efficiency of supply for our customers while expanding the company's footprint and product offerings as well.
