###Job Overview

The M-Club Server provides fast, courteous, and attentive food and beverage service to guests while ensuring the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness, and service quality in the M-Club Lounge. This role plays a key part in delivering an elevated experience for Marriott Bonvoy elite guests.

###Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests warmly and take food and beverage orders promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established health, safety, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure food quality, freshness, and consistency throughout service periods.
  • Clear and clean tables efficiently; wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as required.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side-work duties to ensure the lounge remains clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Maintain assigned service stations throughout the shift.
  • Alert Outlet Management of any service, safety, or guest concerns and assist with service recovery as required.
  • Process guest payments and transactions in accordance with cash and charge procedures when applicable.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through effective communication with kitchen staff, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned while following all Company and Marriott Brand Standards.

###Qualifications and Requirements

  • Basic reading and writing skills required.
  • Previous food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant or lounge operations preferred.
  • Strong guest service skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

###Physical Requirements

  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Remaining stationary for extended periods of time.
  • Standing and moving about the restaurant and lounge areas.
  • Handling food items, plates, trays, glasses, and service equipment.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.

###Other

  • Communication skills are used frequently when interacting with guests, kitchen staff, and supervisors.
  • Reading and writing abilities are used when taking orders, completing logs, and handling paperwork.
  • Basic math skills are required for handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or valid food handler certification as required by provincial regulations.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work Area: M-Club Lounge, Kitchen, and F&B service areas.

###Health and Safety

  • Follow all safe work procedures outlined in departmental policies, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Comply with all Occupational Health & Safety regulations in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ministry of Labour.
  • Report all workplace injuries or illnesses immediately to a supervisor or manager.
  • Participate in health and safety initiatives by bringing concerns to the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
