Ice Technician & Curling Administrator
The Ice Technician & Curling Administrator is a year-round position that supports both Curling (September to April) and Golf Operations (May to August). Reporting to the Head Ice Technician & Assistant Curling Manager, this role ensures that the Curling Rink is maintained to Donalda’s high standards and plays a key administrative role in supporting curling operations, bonspiels, and seasonal programs.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and removal of curling and skating ice surfaces.
- Maintain excellent playing conditions through daily scraping, pebbling, and cleaning.
- Monitor and log refrigeration systems and humidity levels in compliance with TSSA.
- Support league, bonspiel, and junior program operations.
- Promote events through social media and ensure up-to-date website content.
- Manage member registrations, records, and curling-related software and databases.
- Assist with the setup of the curling lounge and support member events.
- Participate in Golf Operations during the summer season.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in ice maintenance with a history of quality results.
- Level 2 Ice Technician certification preferred; Level 1 will be considered.
- Curling administration experience is an asset.
- CPR and First Aid certified.
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
- Able to perform medium-heavy physical work and work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
