ROLE OVERVIEW
Air Inuit is looking for a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic Finance team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on precision and have a strong affinity for numbers. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of our financial operations. If you are passionate about maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to a collaborative team environment, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure seamless matching of invoices and purchase orders for all received goods and services.
- Confirm that all transactions adhere to the company’s financial policies and standards.
- Efficiently prepare and code invoices for smooth data entry.
- Respond promptly to vendor inquiries, fostering strong relationships.
- Keep vendor files up-to-date and organized for easy access.
- Conduct thorough monthly reconciliations of accounts payable transactions to maintain accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly accruals to ensure accurate financial forecasting.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the department’s operational goals.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
- At least 5 years in a similar role or a related field.
- Education: Minimum of a DEP; a DEC is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software is essential.
- Specialized Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (also known as Microsoft Finance and Operations) is a valuable asset.
- Knowledge of the airline industry is a definite plus.
- Language Skills: Bilingual in French and English; proficiency in Inuktitut is an added advantage.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Location: Air Inuit Head Office, located in Ville St-Laurent.
- Permanent role, offering stability and growth.
- Schedule: Enjoy a Monday to Friday workweek, totaling 37.5 hours (7.5 hours per day).
- Office Presence: Required to be in the office for four days a week, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
