Make your mark while you grow your career! The Reclamation and Remediation team is an innovative group that looks to drive value and make change. Working closely with other coordinators, the Reclamation Coordinator will apply their expertise to drive a safe and cost-effective execution of reclamation and remediation of oil and gas sites. Our ideal candidate is well organized, adaptable to change, and highly collaborative as this position provides an opportunity to work with Supply Management, Well Abandonment, Pipeline Abandonment, Facility Decommissioning, Operations, Environment, Cost Control, Surface Land and Production teams. Your fieldwork experience, technical expertise, ability to manage multiple stakeholders, alignment with our core values and passion for continuous improvement will contribute to your success in this role.

  • Job location: Calgary, Alberta *
  • Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts, (Monday – Friday), with extended work hours through daily communications
  • Safety sensitive position: Yes

* Please note, this role will require periodic travel to site.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Safely lead and execute site assessment, remediation and reclamation field projects
  • Maintain a direct line of communication with the Reclamation field supervisors and use our Safety Management Systems to support a front-line driven safety culture in reclamation operations
  • Conduct site supervisor competency verifications and onboarding as required
  • Responsible for effective budget management, scope and cost control
  • Work with site supervisors to ensure timely, accurate project and cost reporting
  • Work with our team members to build annual plans and budgets for a geographic area(s) and to solve issues during field operations
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, landowners, regulatory authorities and environmental companies across various projects and jurisdictions

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Minimum 10 years of direct hands-on technical/operational field experience in remediation and reclamation
  • Lead the planning and execution of assessment, remediation, and reclamation activities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team-oriented and able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on multiple tasks/projects with deadlines
  • Strong project management skills gained through experience of multi-discipline and complex projects
  • Understand regulatory requirements for each province and have utilized your expertise to provide guidance in justifications and improve remedial strategies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SiteView, WellView, MS Teams, and generally technically savvy
