**Position:**Shift Supervisor - Security Guard

**Site:**Cadillac Fairview- 15 York Street (Maple Leaf Square)

**City:**Downtown Toronto, ON

**Status:**Full-Time Nights

Hours: Static Continental Nights- 1900-0700

Pay Rate:$22/hr.

Job Description:

Security guards maintain a highly visible and reassuring presence through their assigned patrol and post duties. Security guards are the eyes and ears of the Property and they take steps to ensure that the Manager’s rules and standards for the Property are maintained. By their presence, they act as a deterrent to crime and undesired activity and help to maintain a visibly safe and welcoming environment at the Property.

Job Duties:

  • Lead and supervise 1–3 guards; coordinate with Site Director and Property Management
  • Conduct visible foot patrols; engage tenants, guests, and visitors proactively
  • Provide exceptional customer service, directions, escorts, and general assistance
  • Ensure safety, access control, and fair enforcement of property rules
  • Respond to emergencies, disturbances, crimes, and medical incidents (First Aid/CPR/AED)
  • Observe, report, and assist police; manage trespassers and unauthorized persons
  • Support tenants/merchants during incidents and special events
  • Identify, report, and follow up on hazards or deficiencies
  • Maintain activity/event awareness to assist visitors effectively
  • Control vehicle traffic and facilitate access to restricted areas
  • Prepare accurate written reports and maintain logs
  • Perform physical duties including walking, standing, and securing doors
  • Support sustainability by managing lighting and energy use
  • Perform emergency management and other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level - C certification - Issue by a WSIB-approved provider*
  • Covid-19 - Fully Vaccinated (Min 2 doses)
  • Must have a minimum 1 year of supervisory experience working in Security or equivalent
  • Basic computer (keyboarding) skills are required;
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, provincial and municipal legislation and regulations required
  • Excellent interpersonal
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in English (both oral and written)
