We’re looking for an experiencedForestry Technician (Silviculture Surveyor)for ourSouthern Interior Woodlands Division. This can be a seasonal or permanent position. The Southern Interior Woodlands Team manages Tolko's tenure and fibre supply in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, covering an area of 953,447 hectares. We are dedicated to sustaining these areas to the benefit of all who live and work there.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Must be a**registered Forest Professional of British Columbia (FPBC)**and in good standing.
- Preference will be given to candidates with theFPBC Silviculture Accredited Surveyor (SAS)designation or equivalent experience conductingRegen Delay Surveysand Free Growing Declaration Surveys in BC.
- Has an unwaveringcommitment to safety.
- Provencommunication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Able towork independently and with a team.
- Isphysically capable of performing field workat various locations across the Okanagan Timber Supply Area (TSA).
- A valid driver’s license and experience driving on forestry roads are required.
- Has experience withblock/road layoutandcruisingis an asset.
- Has experience with the Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), GIS, and other computer applications.
