High School Teacher –
Generalist -- English-Socials and/or Math-Science
Beginning Fall 2026
$44.53/hr
32.5hrs/week
Mountain View Christian Academy is accepting applications for the school year of 2026-2027 for a generalist High School Teacher. We need someone who has teaching experience in English, Social Studies, Science, Math, Physical Education, Arts Education, and Career Education.
We are a non-denominational Christian school in beautiful Terrace, BC. As a small, Level 1 Independent School, MVCA offers K-12 education as we anchor our purpose to the authority of God’s word. Our goal is to provide a dynamic, learning environment with high standards in academia, as well as practical life skill applications. As we cultivate the development of sincere respect for God, our aim is to exemplify and teach:
- Spiritual discernment and the value of a personal walk with Jesus Christ.
- Critical thinking for seeking the path of righteousness
- The identification and development of unique gifts
- Awareness and stewardship of creation
- Servant leadership in the community
- Communication skills and development
- An enthusiastic approach to lifelong learning for all vocations
We are searching for someone to join our team who desires to learn and grow with us as we raise up the next generation in a loving, Christian environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Born Again believer
- Valid BC teaching certification or independent schools teaching certification
- Evidence of commitment to the Christian faith and service in the local church
- Past teaching experience in English, Social Studies, Science, Math, Physical Education, Arts Education, and Career Education is preferred.
